Let me openly invite you to an inspiring experience underwater.
As a freediver and artist I transform the feeling of being underwater into visual and audiovisual compositions.
“Underwater there are no thoughts.
The body is weightless, breathless.
Freedom, lightness and timelessness arises.
I am home – “
About the artist
Johanna Keimeyer studied design and digital media at University of the Arts (UdK), Berlin, Tama Art University, Tokyo and Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), USA.
After lamp creations made of recycled materials, she now transforms water into audiovisual experiences with photography and video as a multimedia artist.
"Pool Around Me" - Underwater Photography
With these intimate portraits I want to emphazise the awareness behind the physical body by showing it again and again. The body is just the surface. The beauty is within.
In the photo project Pool Around Me I created underwater scenes in over 75 hotel pools worldwide, with kind support from Martin Nicholas Kunz, from Africa, the Maldives, and Asia to America,
I used the pool as a diary of spirit, beauty and transformation within.
The photos are available for sale in a limited edition. Please contact me for details.
